At the southern tip of the Léman, Geneva shines with its international character, particularly in global health governance.

Geneva is also on the front line in the fight against climate change, with temperatures rising by more than 2°C since the 19th century, two to three times faster than the global average.

The Léman (also known as Lake Geneva), a natural heritage site and symbol of our city, plays a fundamental role in ecosystem balance, temperature regulation, access to drinking water, and the quality of our lives.

However, the impact on public health is growing for the Genevan population.

In this context, the Geneva Health Forum is organizing the festival:

« Water, the Heart of Health: preserving water, protecting health ».

Objectives

Raising awareness among the Genevan population about the vital role of water in physical and mental health, as well as the ecosystem services provided by the lake, in order to promote daily actions that are good for our lake and our health.

Create synergies in the fields of health and the environment by mobilizing public and academic actors, and civil society involved in promoting partnerships and the development of concrete actions.

To promote among the Genevan population the presence of international health governance with the presence of the World Health Organization but also the United Nations Environment Programme.
